There are some beautiful walks and hikes to be taken in and around the local area. Spend the day walking between three beautiful villages, or an hour climbing up through some of the local vineyards and try to spot all seven of the local church spires. You will find a map on the notice board in the village square. or we can provide you with a print out of the three main walks. Over the last few years we have seen more and more cyclists riding through our little village as it sits on one of the most popular routes from Albi to Cordes Sur Ciel; last year the Tour de France passed us on the way to Cordes.Another great local cycle route is the Véloroute de la Vallée du Tarn, (d'Albi à Saint-Sulpice) which passes near by: click here for more information.We offer cycle-friendly accommodation with free

Gaillac is one of the oldest wine producing areas in France, and many of the vineyards are open for wine tasting (Degustation in French - if you see this sign you can pop in for a tasting).

There are lots of swimming lakes around the local area, some have sandy beaches for sunbathing: ask us for details.Aigulleze is just a ten minute drive and has sports activities both on land and in the river Tarn. Gaillac This is our nearest big town and has a good number of essential shops, restaurants, an abbey and historical museum. It has a large outdoor market on Friday mornings and an organic food market on Tuesday evenings.

It is popular for its canoeing and water sports or you can just wander through quaint streets. The films ‘Charlotte Gray’ and ‘The Hundred Foot Journey’ were filmed there.It has a market on Sundays which winds its way through the town but can get very busy in July & August, so go early. The Cite De La Space [Space Museum] is situated on the outskirts of the city, as well as the Airbus Factory, which offers visits. Most towns and villages have a market every week; most will sell local produce, clothes and plants. They usually start around 8am and will finish by midday. Le Jardin De Martel This ranks among the most beautiful of French gardens. There, you will find displays of all horticultural types, an exotic and aquatic glasshouse, a panoramic viewpoint, a banana plantation and a mini farm. The whole area is home to more than 2500 different varieties of plants.
